DAY 1 – KNOXVILLE – Our American Heritage and Statue of Liberty Tour begins today as we depart Jackson and travel to Birmingham, AL, for a luncheon stop. Then an afternoon drive through north Alabama and skirt the Lookout Mountain area of Chattanooga. We arrive Knoxville, TN, this evening to claim our reservations. Tonight, we enjoy a Get-Acquainted Dinner hosted by our tour escort. (D)

DAY 2 – WASHINGTON – Our motorcoach heads east-ward through the East Tennessee Valley passing Bristol and arriving Christianburg for a lunch stop. We then con-tinue up the beautiful Shenandoah Valley making a stop in Lexington to visit the Lee Memorial on the campus of Washington and Lee University. Here General Robert E. Lee is buried. We continue over spectacular Skyline Drive and arrive Washington to claim our reservations for the next two nights. (B)

DAY 3 – SIGHTSEEING IN WASHINGTON –We meet our local guide this morning for an all-day tour of Washington. We will see the major points of interest such as the White House, the U.S. Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, and the famous Smithsonian Institute. This evening we enjoy dinner at Hogate’s Seafood Restaurant on the Potomac River. (D)

DAY 4 – NEW YORK – A morning departure from Washington and we travel northward through Baltimore and over the New Jersey Turnpike. We make a luncheon stop in Philadelphia and then continue on to New York. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore the “Big Apple” on your own. Perhaps tonight you will want to take in a Broadway Show.


DAY 5 – NEW YORK CITY – Our local guide calls for us this morning at the hotel for an all-day tour of New York including downtown, Wall Street, Central Park, Chinatown, and visits to the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. The evening is free to take in another Broadway Show or dine at a favorite New York restaurant.

DAY 6 – PHILADELPHIA – We bid farewell to Broadway this morning and head southward back to Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love. Following lunch we meet a local guide for an afternoon tour of the historic area. We will visit the Liberty Bell Pavilion, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Christ Church, the Betsy Ross home and much more. We overnight in Philadelphia tonight.

DAY 7 – WILLIAMSBURG – We continue to historic Williamsburg this morning to claim our reservations for the next two nights.

DAY 8 – COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG – JAMESTOWN -YORKTOWN – This morning we transfer to Colonial Williamsburg for an exciting tour where we will see the Capitol, the Governor’s Palace, the Duke of Gloucester Street, the Magazine, and the George Wythe House. Our tour ends at noon and we enjoy lunch (included) at Colonial Williamsburg. We then head to historic Jamestown to view the Visitor’s Center and drive along Colonial Parkway to Yorktown to view the famous battle-field of the Revolutionary War. (L)

DAY 9 – GREENVILLE – We depart Williamsburg and travel through Richmond to Durham, NC, for luncheon. We have time to visit the Duke University Campus and see the Chapel before continuing to Greenville, SC, for the night. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner. (L,D)

DAY 10 – HOMEWARD –We depart Greenville and pass through Atlanta, GA, as we make our way to Birmingham, AL, for a lunch stop. Then an afternoon drive brings us to Jackson to end our memorable American Heritage and Statue of Liberty tour. (L)
